Welcome to my first ever blog post on my newly created website! I was thinking about having a blog for a while now and what better opportunity to start one together with my new website and the beginning of a new year!
Happy New Year to each and everyone out there !
Why a blog?
Blogging is very popular nowadays. And yes I admit, I also read some of them.
You may be asking why? The answer to that question is very simple in my opinion.
It is the number one resource to find information about new products, reviews, portfolio's of other photographers, etc.
Help spread important articles or interesting work from other photographers is one of my main goals to start this blog.
I will also blog about my personal experiences during my education as photographer or my shoots, for instance BTS.
If you'd read my 'About Me' page you probably already know that I am currently studying at 'Syntra West Brugge' to become a certificated photographer. I started these studies the 9th of September 2013 and I will be graduated the end of June 2014.
Why a blog and website on Weebly?
I discovered Weebly through a friend and colleague starting photographer Shauni Fotografie.
By looking at her website I became interested about the Weebly platform, so I tried it.
A portfolio to showcase my landscape photography was one of my things on my wishlist.
Immediately I saw how easy and user friendly it was to start your own... And here we are.
So for everyone out there that is looking to build a portfolio website, check out weebly ;)
Goals for 2014?
My main goal for 2014 is to be more serious about my photography. This website and blog are two steps in the right direction.
I also started a 365 project the second schoolday together with a friend (Sam). We are now on day 113 and we will continue our journey in 2014. If you want to follow me or Sam on this journey, please do so on facebook: My page / Sam's Page.
By doing this project I also inspired another friend of mine to start his own, you can find his page here.
I started this project because I wanted a challenge for myself. It is also a big learning process to develop my own skills.
As a pro photographer you have to be ready to use your camera on a daily basis and you have to know your gear better then anything. This 365 project is an excellent preparation!
This will be it for now peops!
If you enjoyed this blog, don't mind sharing it on your social media! ;)
I will end this first blog with this question for you readers:
- What goal(s) do you have for 2014? (Photography related)
Please let me know in the comments below as I am also interested in your stories!
